Costumes - Kim Scott
Kim has been designing for theatre, short film and events since graduating from NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) in 2003. Her theatrical design credits include Box and Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung, The Voysey Inheritance and Woman at the Window directed by Kevin Jackson. The Illusion and Cloud Nine directed by Damien Miller. Music for the Eyes for CODA, Monkey Magic directed by Ben Winspear and Hello Kitty’s Fantastical Adventure directed by Alan Jenner. Kim’s short film highlights include costume design for the St Kilda Film Festival 2006 major prize winning VEND directed by James Findlay and production design for Mirror Mirror Directed by John Winter and The Last Supper directed by Joshua Wakely. Kim has worked in a wide variety of production roles for Television, Events and Theatre in both the art and costume departments. These roles include art department / costume buyer and standby for television, CAD for The 2006 Doha Asian Games, and costume supervising for Pearlie in the Park by Wendy Harmer
Lighting Design - TONY YOULDEN
Tony has worked as a freelance designer for most of Australia’s performing arts companies. He has lit over four hundred theatre, opera, and ballet productions. Two years ago retired as Technical Director from NIDA where he worked for over sixteen years. His association with the Harlos Productions includes being Lighting Designer for King Lear and many productions over the past sixteen years. His most recent Lighting Designs have included “A View From The Bridge” at the Ensemble Theatre and “The Rood Screen” at the Darlinghurst Theatre.
Sound/Music designer: John Blake (DJ Soup)
John records music under the name DJ Soup. He has released 5 albums. He is currently working with hip hop comics 2Up. John has done sound design on The Illusion, Cloud Nine, Hilt, The Unscrupulous Murderer and worked with Phil Scott on one the S.T.C. political reviews. He also plays a mean game of basketball and has a deaf dog.
Stage manager - Scarlett Ritchie
Scarlett graduated from Theatre Nepean in 2004. Her final credits included Julius Caesar (dir. Lee Lewis) & Pentecost (dir. Anthony Skuse). During a stint o/s she worked – as one does –stage-managing, nannying and modelling, in London & Cape Town. Earlier this year she doubled Cordelia & Oswald in Lear for Harlos. She is presently stuying at the Centre for Performance Studies at Sydney University.
Production Manager - GERTRAUD INGEBORG
Gertraud has produced all of Harlos' productions including King Lear 2001/2002 and Hamlet/R&G are Dead 2003. As an actress she most recently performed in Pandora’s Garden (New Theatre), played Mary Stuart in Mary Stuart (New Theatre/Belvoir St/Old Fitzroy and New York seasons), Mother Courage in Mother Courage (New Theatre), the Fool in King Lear 2001/2002 and Gertrude in Hamlet/R&G are Dead 2003. Gertraud will be appearing for Downstairs Belvoir in One Flea Spare directed by Tanya Denny from April 29th to May 16th 2004.
Production Assistant - JOHANNES SWATON
Johannes has maintained an active role in Harlos Productions since it's creation. His sound creations have been heard in King Lear 2001/2002, Hamlet 2003 as well as African Gothic for the Old Fitzroy Hotel. For Queensize Productions’ MARY STUART he was the sound operator at the Belvoir Street Downstairs, light operator at the Old Fitzroy and stage manager, light & sound operator at the New York Fringe Festival (2001). He has fulfilled a variety of roles from lighting operator, sound operator and stage manager for numerous companies including New Theatre, Macquarie University, The Old Fitzroy and Belvoir St.
